Tyler Peters is a 2016 3B/RHP with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Martinez, CA who attends Alhambra. Large, well-built and well-proportioned frame with strength and athleticism throughout. Ran well, posting a 7.18 seconds 60-yard dash time. Hits from open stance with short, quick stroke. Hands are quick to and through the zone, showed consistent line drive contact to left-center field, some loft in swing as well. Fielded cleanly in the infield, showing accurate and solid arm strength across the diamond, topping at 78 MPH. Had some range to both sides. Pitched as well, employing short arm action to high 3/4 slot, max effort delivery downhill with plane to the plate. FB worked 81-84 with some life to arm side. Good feel for CB with 12/6 shape and big break with excellent depth. Showed CH as well, with deception and good arm side run. Arm works well throughout. Named to 2015 Sunshine West Showcase Top Prospect List. Good student.
