Kemper Whisman is a 2023 SS/RHP with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Shelbyville, KY who attends Shelby County. Long and lean frame with good physical projection. Ran a 7.82 second 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, plays with good energy on the dirt; circles the ball well and fields it squarely out front, has some stiffness to the hands at times but funnels cleanly to a high-effort release generating carry on throws clocked up to 84 mph across the diamond. Also pitches, works in the zone with a two-pitch mix, uses a compact arm action with short extension over the front side, fastball plays true in life and tunnels the curveball well out of 11-to-5 shape. Right-handed hitter, sets up even in the lower half, engages the ground and uses the lower half well into contact; gets good length out front with quick hands and consistency to the swing that projects with his ability to already drive the ball to the gaps. Good student.
