Jake Lemar is a 2016 C/ with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Urbandale, IA who attends Waukee. Medium frame with developing strength. Right handed hitter with an open stance. Loose swing actions with a line drive swing plane and a mi-field to pull side approach. Timing issues due to open set, late to get front side down and reaches for contact at time. Shows present strength that can reach the gaps and extendeds through contact well. High set behind the plate with a longer arm action, can cut down pop time with a shorter arm circle. Plus arm with on line carry, topped at 79 mph and best pop of 1.96. Shows quick feet and bounce with good directional drive on throws. Funnels and frames well within body frame. Shows range to both sides with fundamental blocking technique. Solid tool set. Good student as well.
