2016 Sunshine South Showcase
Courteney Curry is a 2017 3B/C/OF with a 5-9 200 lb. frame from Kyle, TX who attends Lehman HS. Curry has a medium sized frame with a thick build. Defensively he showed solid infield actions with some balance. He circled the baseball well and showed nice hands. Curry has some arm strength up to 80 MPH and made accurate throws across the diamond. He also worked out from the outfield and catcher and showed developing tools at both spots. At the plate Curry starts with a slightly open stance and uses a toe touch trigger to start his swing. He has a rotational swing and lots of arm extension in his swing. He looks to pull the baseball and was aggressive to the inner half. He showed some barrel skills with developing hitting tools.
