Vincent Baez is a 2016 C/3B with a 5-11 200 lb. frame from Manhattan, IL who attends Lincolnway Central HS. Strong and thick build. Right handed hitter, high hand start, upper half rotational swing, gets long at times and will hit around the ball, shows strength at contact especially when pulling, softer contact to the opposite field, good balance through contact, can improve bat speed with more lower half use. Good arm strength behind the plate with good direction and footwork throwing, 1.95 best pop time, showed soft hands receiving the ball, can improve on lower half and foot quickness shifting and blocking. Good student.
