Blake Beck is a 2019 LHP/OF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Federal Way, WA who attends Decatur HS. Tall and slender build, lots of room to get stronger. High leg raise/leg tuck delivery on the mound, fast paced with lots of moving parts but repeats his mechanics pretty well, pitches hunched over and tends to lose plane to the plate. Upper 60's fastball, cutter off his fastball was his best pitch, consistent movement got off barrels. Showed good feel for his change up, used a soft curveball effectively to left handers. Has some pitchability, especially when he's using the cutter. Left handed hitter, hits from a slightly closed stance, swings hard with a line drive swing plane, will cast his hands out early at times but has some hand speed and can impact the ball. Good student.
