Lane Farmer is a 2016 LHP with a 5-10 210 lb. frame from Davenport, IA who attends Central HS. Thick and strong build, mature look. Compact arm action with a high 3/4's arm slot, simple delivery mechanics that he repeats well. Fastball topped out at 72 mph, mostly straight with occasional cutting action, can throw fastball to spots and gets lots of early count contact by challenging hitters. Threw both a curveball and a slider, slider is the better pitch at present with some short late biting action. Had some feel for his change up. Has an idea how to pitch and competed well.
