Felix Ayon is a 2021 MIF/RHP, 3B with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Teaneck, NJ who attends Liberty University Online Academy. Medium, athletic frame with present strength to upper body, additional room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.64 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, fields the ball out front with two hands, glove plays well at the ball, longer arm action through the back and can shorten to quicken release, shows quickness to footwork going up the middle, accurate throws across. Also pitched, side step moving into delivery, high leg lift up past belt, gets tall on backside with a similar full arm action through the back, works to a three-quarters release point. Shows rhythm to delivery, fastball topped out at 77 mph with running life to arm side, induced contact early in the count and mixed a short breaking ball up to 69 mph, maintains release. Creates nice diving life to changeup at 72 mph given release point. Righthanded hitter, begins with a spread and open stance with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Wrapped barrel at start, long path through the zone, shows looseness to swing with some present bat speed. Comfort working to the middle and pull side parts of the field, short stride into contact, occasionally opens front side early. Very good student.
