Reynaldo Rivera is a 2015 OF/RHP with a 6-6 215 lb. frame from Toa Alta, PR. Extra large well proportioned build, very good strength and athletic leverage. Left handed hitter, very simple swing approach, rock back load from a wide base, short and quick hands to the ball, works the middle of the field, showed huge raw power and loud contact to centerfield but also showed barrel control and the ability to make adjustments, will occasionally expand the zone on off-speed, could be a monster power guy when he learns how to pull the ball. 7.26 runner, has straight away speed but still gaining coordination moving side to side, long loose arm action with big arm strength, projects to play first base in the future. Also pitched, interesting two-way prospect on the mound, straight over the top arm slot, works downhill, upper 80's fastball is mostly straight, showed good spin and depth on a downer 12/6 curveball. Power sets him apart but has hitter's actions and a presence on the field. Good student.
