Ridge Stephens is a 2017 C/3B with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Atoka, OK who attends Tushka HS. Medium athletic build, has some present strength with more to come. Nice arm strength behind the plate, 2.02 best pop time, has a quick transfer but sometimes tries to make it too quick, makes accurate throws when he stays down, will stand up at times when throwing and have the ball sail,, gets low and flexible behind the plate and shows athleticism. Right handed hitter, game approach much sounder than batting practice approach, stayed short and level to the ball in games and showed some bat speed when pulling the ball, BP swing tended to be choppy and downward, key will be in maintaining swing plane. Has the strength and hand quickness to hit. Good student.
