Joseph Barlovic is a 2023 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Bergenfield, NJ who attends Bergenfield. High waisted long limbed build with lots of room to get stronger. Full hands over head delivery with coiled hips over the rubber, long stride out front, will spin off his landing leg at times and not get over his front side. Fastball topped out at 79 mph, works well to the arm side with some running action, velocity projects well with mechanical adjustments and more strength. Showed some feet for both his curveball and change up, change up duplicated his fastball well with arm speed and slot, curveball had good power and some bite to it. 7.12 runner in the sixty who plays first base when not on the mound. Left handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a wrapped barrel start, has some hand strength when he gets the barrel out front and turned, hit to all fields. Excellent student.
