Andrew Daschbach is a 2016 3B/1B with a 6-3 210 lb. frame from Atherton, CA who attends Sacred Heart Prep. Big and strong well proportioned athletic build. Outstanding speed for his size, 6.52 in the sixty. Primary third baseman but profiles best in the outfield with his speed, long over the top arm action doesn't project to the next level at third base. Right handed hitter with a spread stance and high hand start, good weight shift with balance, explodes his hands very well through the zone with big raw bat speed, gap to gap approach with plenty of power projection, ball comes off the barrel loud and gets lots of carry, big offensive potential. Future position will evolve itself and his bat and athleticism will carry him. Very good student, verbal commitment to Stanford.
