Jake Washock is a 2018 OF/RHP with a 5-8 135 lb. frame from Newtonville, NY who attends Shaker HS. Medium frame with slender, athletic present build. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.44 seconds. Sets up to hit from upright stance with high hands and back elbow, compact swing path in hands, line drive linear swing plane, approach is to work back through the middle. Keeps hands close to body through swing, showed solid ability to make consistent contact at times. Right-handed pitcher, compact arm stroke to three quarters slot release, lands open with front hip, fastball worked 72-76 MPH with some arm side run. Showed curveball with 11/5 shape and good depth; did a good job working down in the strike zone as much as possible and getting some weak contact as a result. Good student.
