Jared Nanney is a 2017 2B/3B with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Temperance, MI who attends Bedford Senior. Medium frame, broad shouldered, athletic build with further room to fill out. Right handed hitter, upright open stance with narrow feet, strides to even, shifts to contact. Aggressive weight shift, deeper hand load, swings hard and shows good hand quickness and solid bat speed. Works to middle of the field, shows ability to backspin the baseball and use the barrel with consistency. Moves pretty well, ran a 6.99 60-yard dash. Has some good instincts in the infield, uses a compact arm-action, has some strength and arm speed. Also pitches, works to a tight high 3/4's arm slot. Occasional cutting action on fastball up to 76 mph, also has some wiggle and tail to the armside when located to that side of the plate. Shows solid feel for mid-60's curveball with ability to locate for strikes, flashes sharpness and good bite. Good student.
