Clay Patton is a 2022 SS/RHP/2B with a 6-1 155 lb. frame from Westfield, IN who attends St. Theodore Guerin. Lean and slender athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. 6.98 runner in the sixty, moves well in the middle infield and his light on his feet, athletic lower half actions with good balance through the ball, has a compact arm action with a quick release on his throws. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with a foot turn load and a deep low hand load, sweeping swing, showed an accurate barrel with mostly pull side line drive contact. Took a turn on the mound as well, long arm action that is loose coming through, fastball topped out at 82 mph with occasional arm side run, tends to slow his arm on his breaking ball. Key to his development will be to continue to get stronger. Very good student.
