Brent Miller is a 2017 C/RHP/OF with a 6-4 200 lb. frame from Lake Oswego, OR who attends Lake Oswego Senior HS. Big strong athletic build, especially for his age. Right handed hitter, spread stance, big shift into contact, deep hand load, has length to his swing, line drive swing plane, hits to all fields, has potential if he can shorten his swing approach to drive the ball more consistently. Good arm strength behind the plate, low arm slot, 2.05 best pop time, tends to align himself side saddle receiving causing shifting and receiving issues, easily correctable. Also pitched, high 3/4's to over the top arm slot, long take away, projectable arm strength. Fastball topped out at 78 mph, good cutting action at times. Breaking ball moved between slider and curveball shapes, gets some spin and good depth at times, has potential on the mound. Good young athlete with raw baseball skills, should continue to improve with hard work. Good student.
