Caleb Brewer is a 2017 LHP/OF with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Killen, AL who attends Brooks HS. Solid athletic build. Balanced delivery with a pause at the top, full loose arm action in back, bit cross body at release, high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 81 mph, medium effort at release, fastball is fairly straight with occasional arm side run. Curveball showed good spin when he maintained arm speed with some 1/7 depth. Showed better command and feel for throwing to left handed hitters, especially with his curveball. Rare change up still needs developing. Left handed hitter, minimal shift into contact, upper body rotational hitter with a line drive pull approach. Good student.
