Cohen Dillman is a 2017 2B/RHP with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Cedar Park, TX who attends Vista Ridge. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable frame with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.35 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, moves well to the ball and shows flair to actions, fields the ball out front and funnels well into a quick transfer, can make accurate throws from multiple slots with arm strength and carry across the diamond, confident actions with sound footwork. Also pitched, quick delivery on the mound with a long and loose arm action through the back, worked between a sidearm and low three-quarters arm slot. Good direction towards the plate, able to generate natural sinking life to fastball that topped 75 mph. Works quick and threw a good amount of strikes, sweeping slider at 68 mph with nice spin, induces ground ball contact, flashed a changeup with some sink down. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow in the box. Upper body swing, full swing through the zone with a toe tap trigger for timing. Simple and measured mechanics and is able to repeat them well, direct path to the ball, easy swing, has a feel for the barrel and shows a contact approach at the plate, projects with additional lower half involved in swing. Very good student.
