Gage Ambruster is a 2021 SS/RHP/MIF with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Elmer, NJ who attends St Joseph Academy. Slender athletic build with some wiry strength and more to come. Left handed hitter, hits from an open stance with high hand load and a low leg lift trigger, has a short and quick line drive swing with some bat speed out front, high contact line drive approach that works well for his physicality. 7.39 runner, shows his athleticism well on defense in the middle infield, has smooth glove work and a quick release on his throws, light on his feet and changes direction well, shows good arm strength and carry on his throws. High leg raise delivery on the mound with a big upper body turn, high 3/4's arm slot, is well balanced and directional down the mound. Fastball worked in the low 80's, some arm side running life. Hard slider was a solid second pitch with good power and some sweeping depth. Key to development will be adding additional strength. Very good student.
