Cam Pruitt is a 2023 SS/2B, OF with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Wylie, TX who attends Wylie. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and some present strength to frame, additional room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 6.94 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, fields the ball out front and funnels well, confident strides moving towards the ball, smooth backhand actions, works on top of throws and keeps them low across the diamond from a higher release point, works through the ball and repeats well. Right-handed hitter, begins with a narrow base and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; longer load with and even base, handles the barrel and comfortably found it in game including a long home run to left field. Present bat speed with fluid barrel path, gets the barrel out front with solid life coming off the barrel, looseness to hands. High end athlete. Very good student. Verbal commitment to Stanford.
