Matthew Brumbaugh is a 2018 C/3B with a 6-1 220 lb. frame from Chula Vista, CA who attends Otay Ranch HS. Big and strong athletic build, pretty mature physically. Right handed hitter with good present bat speed, sees the ball well and will wait for his pitch, swings with intent and makes hard line drive contact to all fields, simple and short swing that will work well at the next level, repeats well. Has athletic quickness behind the plate, strong accurate arm with a quick release, polished defensive actions. Short one-day look but looked like a next level catcher. Good student.
