Joshua Armstrong is a 2015 RHP/3B with a 5-5 200 lb. frame from Mitchell, SD who attends Mitchell HS. Short thick build. Well paced delivery, leans back and comes through from a high 3/4's to over the top release point, lands open with an early front side. Fastball up to 74 mph, gets very good cutting action frequently for a slider effect, throws strikes with his fastball and challenges hitters, gets ground balls on his fastball. Tends to slow lower half on curveball release, shows occasional 12/6 downer depth. Mixes his pitches well and throws strikes. Right handed hitter, low hand set up, upper half rotational swing.
