Parker Shannon is a 2017 C/OF with a 6-2 205 lb. frame from Strongsville, OH who attends Strongsville. Large frame with strong, physical present build throughout. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.37 seconds. Sets up to hit with high hands and back elbow with leg lift trigger, generates good torque in hips, leveraged off of front side with good strength at contact. Creates separation, swings the bat with lots of intent, shows good jump off the barrel with screaming liners to all fields and lots of power overall. Worked out defensively behind the plate, transfers well with quickness, gains lots of ground forward and showed quality arm strength with accuracy, popping as low as 1.92 seconds and throwing 78 MPH. Very good student, named to 2016 Fall Academic Showcase Top Prospect List. Verbally committed to Mercyhurst.
