Norman Medina is a 2014 LHP/OF with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Corpus Christi, TX who attends Calallen HS. Slender build, young look, room to get stronger. Slow paced delivery, leans back at balance point, loose arm with low effort release, 3/4's arm slot, hides the ball well in his delivery, finishes well to the plate. Upper 70's fastball, topped out at 79 mph, gets good sink at times, has some feel for a change up but slows arm at times, developing breaking ball. Showed strong arm from the outfield with good carry and solid athletic actions, good projection to add velocity on the mound. Left handed hitter, low tight hands to start swing, open stance, swings hard, tends to spin off the ball. Good student.
