Maverick Wagner is a 2016 2B with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Aransas Pass, TX who attends Aransas Pass HS. Slender young build, plenty of room to get stronger. Runs well, 7.13 in the sixty, shows some range on defense with good lateral actions. Good defender at second base, has soft hands though they tend to be late getting down at times, arm strength still developing but makes accurate throws. Right handed hitter, simple contact approach he executes well, has some looseness out front, consistent mid field line drive contact. Sound fundamental player who will continue to improve with additional strength and physical maturity. Good student.
