Marcos Aguirre is a 2016 C/3B, RHP with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Miami Sunset Senior HS. Aguirre has a medium sized frame with an athletic build. Defensively he throws with a short arm action with arm strength up to 72 MPH. Aguirre stands to throw and doesn't gain much ground on his pop throws. He has raw catch and throw tools with a quick release. Aguirre showed developing receiving skills behind the plate. At the plate, he's a switch hitter. From the right side he starts with a high back elbow and a slight knee bend. He has good hand quickness with raw bat speed. From the left side he stays balance and has a loose uphill swing. He showed some pop and some hitting tools. Aguirre pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a clean arm action. He threw an 11/5 curveball at 60 MPH with developing shape and spin. Very good student.
