Chase McCroskey is a 2016 C/1B with a 6-2 225 lb. frame from Anderson, SC who attends T L Hanna HS. Big strong physical build. Excellent arm strength behind the plate, accurate throws with carry, receives the ball well, good footwork in all areas, consistent pop times in games, between innings and in drills, polished overall defender with tools. Right handed hitter, calm simple swing approach, limited lower half use but strong enough to get away with it, keeps hands tight and short to the ball, nice bat speed, showed patience in his game approach, ball comes off the barrel hard. Will have to make sure he doesn't get too big for his position at his age but has very good present tools. Named to the National Underclass Showcase Main Event Top Prospect Team.
