Andrew McDonald is a 2013 RHP with a 6-5 210 lb. frame from Mason, OH who attends Mason. Tall, athletic build with long limbs and strength. Has room to fill. On the mound has a loose arm from a low 3/4 slot. Low effort delivery with good extension and easy velocity. Sat 84-86 with arm side run on his fastball. Simple, smooth delivery that finishes online. Good command of fastball. Curveball has slurvy, diagonal break and flashed downer action. Changeup is a developing third pitch that showed fade. Slight mechanical adjustments will help with command and consistency with breaking pitches. Good bodied pitcher with lots of potential. Very good student.
