2003 South Underclass Showcase
Ogletree is a smaller type player who showed the actions of a scaled down version of a Major Leaguer. He ran a 7.40 in the 60, but his feet are swift and he showed good side to side mobility around the infield. He threw 75 mph across the diamond and with a year or 2 under his belt he could show a fringe MLB second base arm. On the hill he pitched well and showed a notch more velocity with a 78 mph fastball. He has potential from the actions we saw and the intensity with which he played, but much of that is based on the amount of growth and strength gain he has over the next year or two. He showed mostly pull with the wood but appeared to generate good power for his size. If he shows a steady development over the next year he will open the eyes of many recruiters for the 2005 class.
