Torres showed us some very nice ability for a young southpaw. He threw three innings and maintained his velocity well at 81-83 mph. His change up was a very good pitch and his 71 mph curveball also showed some quality. Most impressively, Torres had sound, repeatable mechanics and was a strike machine at all times while demonstrating good competitiveness on the mound. Keep on eye on this young Puerto Rican, he is going to get stronger and better in the future. College coaches should get all over him.
