Waylon Chalk is a 2029 C/RHP/MIF with a 5-6 125 lb. frame from Shawboro, NC who attends Currituck County. Slender young build with plenty of time and room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, sets up in a spread stance with a big rock back load, will get caught on his back side at times costing him bat speed, swings hard with a good hand path to contact, stays level and on the ball and hits to all fields with some barrel control, solid overall for a slender 2029. 8.13 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, sets up low and square, longer transition between receiving and throwing, can anticipate more aggressively, makes soft and accurate throws from a high arm slot. Also worked out in the infield, has some footwork and moves well from side to side, got himself in position to field the ball cleanly, made soft accurate throws with developing arm strength.
