Max Ochoa is a 2028 OF/MIF with a 5-8 120 lb. frame from Rancho Cucamonga, CA who attends Los Osos. Works from a medium compact frame with long levers. Primary outfielder, worked through the baseball with choppy footwork, utilized a medium arm stroke and lower release point. Delivered accurate throws with limited carry, arm will continue to develop over time, recorded arm strength up to 67 mph. Right-handed pitcher, worked from a full wind-up delivery, started from the middle of the rubber. Breaks the hands at the chest into an inline arm path, releases from a shorter three-quarters slot. Fastball is fairly straight and was commanded well around the zone, topped it out at 65 mph. Paired it with a bigger traditional curveball to keep hitters off-balance. Right-handed hitter, starts in a narrow base with a high back elbow, utilizes a short stride to the point of contact, works into a flatter elongated bat path. Displayed the ability to work the entire field with glimpses of some developing bat speed, recorded an exit velocity of 63 mph. Ran an 8.05 sixty-yard dash. Great student.
