Myles DuVall is a 2008 RHP/OF/1B with a 6'5'', 195 lb. frame from Missouri City, TX who attends Elkins. He has a tall, broad shouldered build with some present strength and excellent physical projection. DuVall has a long, deep arm action during a high leg lift that comes through pretty easily to a overhand release point and good extension out front. He pitches against a stiff front side that causes him some balance problems on release. DuVall's fastball was 86-89 mph and was pretty straight. He threw a slurve type breaking ball in the 72-74 mph range that has big sweeping action at times. We didn't see a change up. DuVall has some mechanical issues to smooth out but his arm works well, he has good present stuff and is very projectable physically. Keep a close eye on him.
