Johnson, a shortstop, displayed good footwork and an average arm. She showed a smooth transition on plays up the middle and delivered accurate throws. As she continues to work on throwing from all arm slots and utilizing a quicker first step, she will be a solid defensive performer.
Offensively, Taylor is a right-handed hitter who stays tall in the box. She is strongly built and has an athletic stance and swing. She does a great job utilizing a solid lower half to help generate bat speed. She stays mechanically sound and is able to drive the ball, with power, to all fields. She is a potent offensive weapon with room to grow. If she continues to develop and refine her swing, she will definitely be able to perform at the next level.
