Nash Opitz is a 2025 SS/RHP, 3B with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from McMinnville, OR who attends Mcminnville. Medium athletic build. Defensively, he preps well pre pitch and works well through the back hand. Arm action could use some clean up but delivered accurate throws across the diamond. At the plate, he works with moderate leg kick and linear path to impact baseballs in the opposite field gap. The lower half work well to generate torque. Could benefit from added strength to improve bat speed. On the mound, he operates with uptempo delivery with release from the high threee quarters slot. The fastball lacks overwhelming velocity but was modestly commanded to both sides of the plate. The breaker is blossoming with 11-5 shape and really usable depth. Produced off balanced swings throughout the brief outing. 7.35 60-yard. Exceptional student.
