2024 Mid-South High School All-State Games (Invite Only)
Grant Kruger is a 2027 C/RHP, 3B with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Mount Juliet, TN who attends Green Hill. Kruger ran a 7.38 sixty yard dash. Primary Catcher with a strong compact build. Receiving the ball softly out in front with low set hip and even foot position. Very quick mover on the throw downs with aggressive hips and easy extension to second base with accurate throws on a hop. In the Infield Kruger should a quick first step to the ball catching it cleanly with a side gather. Showed a short arm action through the back with accurate throws across the diamond. Right handed hitter in then box starts with a wider slightly open base. The stride is short to the ball employing a linear swing through the zone showing some strength at impact. On the mound he showed a hip height leg lift into a straight over the top arm action. The fastball which sat in the upper 70s showed some late arm side run with good command to both sides of the plate. The breaking ball showed a 12-6 shape with some late depth to it. Grant is an excellent student in the classroom.
