Nicholas Ranaudo is a 2023 C/3B/OF with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Massapequa, NY who attends Plainedge. Ranaudo worked exclusively from his primary spot behind the dish with strength present in the build, showcasing developing footwork and refining arm mechanics to ultimately post a 2.35 pop time. He displayed quickness and urgency to release the ball with some consistency and produce throws around the bag. Offensively, the righty started from a wider base with an inverted front foot, flashing solid feel for the barrel with compact hand speed that stayed inside the baseball. Contact tool is evident for Ranaudo with power continuing to develop, posting an exit velo of 74 mph. Ran a 7.69 sixty yard dash. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
