2007 Hawaii Showcase Tournament
Jeremy Nester is a 2008 2B with a 5'10'', 145 lb. frame from Irvine CA, who attends Northwood HS. He has an average size frame and thin, average build. Nester showed best during the batting practice session. There is some natural leverage created in his stroke and he showed some balance during his swing. His hands work fairly well, though his swing can be a bit long. When he got pitches in his zone Nester put a good swing on them. He is a hitter that really relies on timing and the ability to commit to location or pitch. Defensively he showed quiet defensive actions and a solid release. He makes the most of his ability. As he continues to gets stronger all of Nester's abilities should keep getting better.
