Alec Freeman is a 2027 LHP/1B/OF with a 5-8 115 lb. frame from Simi Valley, CA who attends Royal. Smaller lean build. Primary left-handed pitcher, has a rocker step start to his delivery with a short stride down the mound, medium length arm takeaway with a 3/4's arm slot, has some energy in his delivery and release but repeats his delivery and threw strikes with all his pitches. Fastball topped out at 64 mph, mostly straight with occasional running action. Firm change up with a split finger grip was an effective pitch for him, also threw a soft sweeping curveball that landed consistently for strikes. 8.78 runner in the sixty who is a secondary first baseman when not on the mound and showed some feel for his footwork and glove work. Also worked out in the outfield. Left handed hitter, hits from a narrow open stance with a big hand load, mid field to opposite field contact, bat speed will continue to improve with additional strength. Very good student.
