Trace Haggard is a 2026 C/OF with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Mechanicsville, MD who attends Chopticon. Slender young build with lots of room to get stronger. Primary catcher on defense, sets up side saddle, moves into his throws well with good direction to the bag, long and fast arm and makes accurate throws, can shorten up his actions but has the tools to keep improving. Also worked out in the outfield and showed his arm strength well, has a shorter arm action that created accuracy and carry. Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow stance with a hanging leg raise trigger, sets up with high hands but generally gets them down in time, turns his hips hard into contact, has some jump when everything comes together, projects some as a hitter. Has arm talent and athleticism that will keep improving as he gets stronger. Good student.
