Grant Hummel is a 2027 RHP/2B/OF with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Washington, MO who attends Washington. Lean high-waisted young build with lots of physical projection remaining. Works exclusively from the stretch with drop and drive lower half mechanics, compact arm action and can change his slots with intent, moves his pitches in and out and throws strikes. Fastball was in the upper 70's with good run at times and some ride at others. Curveball was a good pitch that was located well and created lots of swing and miss, threw his curveball at any point in the count. 7.72 runner in the sixty. Played the outfield when not on the mound, showed nice raw arm strength, still developing his fundamentals and actions to and through the ball. Right handed hitter, starts from a spread stance and a high back elbow load, swings hard and has strength in his hands, flashed the ability to get some jump off the barrel to the middle of the field. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
