Fielding -OF. Arm speed is developing for everyone at this age. Keep throwing and getting stronger. -C. Whether it's doing these reps while standing upright at reception or cheating towards the plate for a quicker POP time, we see it. We would rather see you set up and show us where you are at this point and evaluate you as you keeping growing and getting stronger Hitting -Closing yourself off on stride. Barrel control at this age is great, but when you close yourself off, that control doesn't matter. Work on fluidity in the swing and getting the hips through consistently. Strength will come with growth and maturity. So, we want to give you these tips so when it does come, your swing will be ready. Pitching -Short stride. Short striding takes away from the velocity and timing in the pitch. Front foot stopping too early will start everything else too soon. Lengthening the stride to the plate will keep that front shoulder closed and in the process, more velocity and better timing will take place.
