Calvin Hosch is a 2027 OF/C, MIF with a 5-6 140 lb. frame from Peosta, IA who attends Western Dubuque. He has a medium frame with an athletic build and plenty of physical development ahead of him. Ran the 40-Yard dash in 5.47 seconds. Primary outfielder that attacks the ball and fields it deep off his back foot. He has a longer throwing motion and throws from a low slot. He will add arm strength and accuracy as he continues to work through the ball with his lower half on his throws. He consistently fielded the ball cleanly. Right-handed hitter that starts with a wide base with high hands and a low back elbow. He uses a weight shift load and no stride for timing. He does a nice job of staying short to the baseball and working back up the middle. His swing is rotational and he showed nice balance at the plate. Very good student.
