Evan Rudnev is a 2028 3B/RHP/1B with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Carlsbad, CA who attends Sage Creek. Recorded a 7.64 second sixty yard dash time. Tall frame with a filled-out build. Primary third baseman with a good first step and soft hands. Fields it solidly with some range and athleticism on the dirt. Also threw on the mound. The right-handed pitcher works from a medium leg-lift delivery and works down the slope in-line. Can throw across the body at times. Medium arm action with a three- quarter arm slot. The fastball (1668 RPM) topped out at 76 with some arm-side run and mixed in a curveball (2029 RPM) with 11-5 shape and solid vertical depth. Projects for more velocity. Filling up the lower spots of the strike zone and getting weak contact and swing and miss. Right-handed hitter starts from an upright narrow base with a small leg lift stride into contact and a low back elbow. Still hands with a strong lower half and gets into it well. When he stays back he can drive the ball with power projection as he becomes more consistent in staying and keeping his weight back. Intriguing player with good upside. Excellent student.
