KC Fall Softball Scouting Combine Morning Session
Ryleigh Johnson is a 5'6, class of 2026 SS/UT from Rogers, AR who attends Rogers HS. Ryleigh is an up and coming player who shows a solid fundamental foundation that should allow her game to flourish as her career continues. She ran a 3.52 20-yard dash with a 1.24 5-yard split - both of which are solidly average for her age group. A primary infielder, Ryleigh shows quick feet and a keen sense for positioning. She reads the ball off the bat well and her glovework is smooth and consistent. She transitions well and her 53-mph throws are firm, hold their plane, and are routinely accurate. Nice round on the dirt! At the plate, this RHH has an advanced feel for the bunt game. She has a wider base at the ready and incorporates a a strong lower half, creating a lot of torque with each swing. She creates some solid force on contact. When her timing is right, she can strike the ball. Her swing mechanics dictate that power will come as she matures and gains experience at a higher level. Ryleigh has the right approach and her impressive fundamental base should help her grow her game as her career continues. Her body language dictates that the game is very important to her. Outstanding attitude that is very evident. Bright future ahead for this young, talented player.
