Kayden Silva is a 2029 RHP/C/IF with a 5-8 125 lb. frame from Santa Maria, CA who attends St. Joseph. Features a smaller build with room to add strength/mass. Ran a 7.45 60-yd dash. On the mound, worked exclusively from the stretch. Used a mid-chest lift that got into some drop/drive traits to the lower-half. Repeats well. Lands on-line while creating length to the stride with a hard finish. Arm path was long and loose out the back and got up to a normal 3/4 slot with avg. armspeed. FB worked up into the upper 70s, T78 where it showed mostly normal 4S shape with flashes of running action. Mixed in a upper 60s slurvy breaker that produced a couple of buckled takes and whiffs. Also mixed in a SPLT in the upper 60s that he kills good spin on to create quality depth. In the INF, showed fundamental actions. Light feel with some feel for how to move through and gain ground through the baseball. Clean reception and funnel. Some unsureness when moving to the glovehand side. Used a longer AA with a slight stab that got off 50/50 accurate throws with avg. strength for his level. Behind the plate, works form a slight side saddle set up. Shows some quickness out the crouch and gains some ground towards 2nd. Decent exchange working mostly at the mid-chest that at times dips down lower. Some stiffness to the arm action here where he got off one-hop throws to 2nd. At the plate, operates from an open stance and uses a toe tap trigger. At launch, he was at times stuck on the backside. Handsiness to the bat path working real direct into contact. Later point of contact consistently producing a good amount of opposite field contact. When he caught it bit more out front, the path leveled out and produced a couple quality middle of the field LDs. Avg. bat/hand speed and impact for his level.
