Christian Niederwerder is a 2026 LHP/OF with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from Leawood, KS who attends Blue Valley. Strong athletic build. Has a compact arm action on the mound and hides the ball well, creates deception that enables his stuff to play up, has some effort at release and will fly open with his front side at times. Fastball worked in the upper 70's and had occasional cutting action due to his front side mechanics. Curveball was a good pitch with full arm speed and some depth. 7.09 runner in the sixty. Plays outfield when not on the mound, works to the ball with good pace and footwork, fields the ball to the side and can be late getting his glove down, made strong on line throws. Right handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a flat barrel wrap to start his swing, swings hard with a line drive swing plane, has some strength at contact. Good student.
