Austin Jones is a 2027 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Fort Myers, FL who attends Bishop Verot. Nice athletic build with good present strength and plenty of physical projection ahead. Works exclusively from the stretch with a compact leg raise start and a short stride down the mound, compact arm action in back. Fastball worked up to 81 mph with a good idea how to work the ball in and out and some late running action, threw his fastball to spots and was a strike thrower. Threw a short slider as his breaking ball, still developing consistency and comfort with this pitch. 7.47 runner in the sixty. Plays first base when not on the mound. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with an open front side, upper body driven rotational swing. Interesting young pitcher who will continue to improve.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
