Jamari Whitley is a 2027 RHP/C with a 5-9 135 lb. frame from Pittsgrove, NJ who attends Arthur P Schalick High School. As a primary RHP, Whitley displayed a fluid clean operation on the mound with present athleticism to the actions. He controlled the tempo of the game well, releasing from a traditional 3/4 slot ultimately topping out at 76 mph with flashes of cutting action to the FB. He mixed in a shorter breaker that was effective down in the zone at 1959 rpm. From behind the dish, Whitley attempted to work on top of throws from a higher release point with projectable arm strength. He produced throws around the bag, posting a 2.26 pop time. On the offensive end, the righty started from a wider slightly open base with a simple stride into impact. He got the barrel extended nicely and generated contact to all parts of the field with evident barrel control, posting an exit velo of 76 mph. Ran a 7.81 sixty yard dash.
