Shania Burkhalter is a 5'5, class of 2023 3B/1B, OF from Taft, OK who attends Haskell HS. Shania is an upper class, fundamentally sound player, who has a steady approach and a confident style. She ran a 3.41 20-yard dash with a 1.22 5-yard split. A primary infielder, Shania shows deliberate actions that are consistent and sure' She positions well and her glovework is smooth and routinely sound. Her 51-mph throws are accurate. Nice effort on defense! At the dish, this RHH is balanced and even at the ready. She has an obviously strong core that she incorporates well into her swing operation. She triggers quickly and fires her hands to contact. She is more pull side oriented, but did hit a few hard line drives the other way. Great concept offensively. Shania has the right idea concerning her approach to the game. She understands her ability - which is truly sound and based in fundamental mastery. With continued attention to detail over the course of her last couple of years at the HS and travel ball levels, she should have the opportunity to play collegiately. Nice effort, Sound upside potential!

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
